On the morning of the 9^th of October, the opening ceremony of 2019-2021 Masters of International Business Program was held. The program is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and undertaken by Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics. Professor Wang Xiaoping, Vice President of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, Ha Yu, division chief of the First Management Office of the Training Center of Ministry of Commerce and Fang Xiangjun, Deputy Director of Jiangxi Provincial Department of Commerce attended the ceremony and delivered respective speeches. Zhang Liyao, project manager of Tendering Office for the Training Center of the Ministry of Commerce Foreign Aid Program, Wang Jian, division chief of Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation Department of Jiangxi Provincial Department of Commerce, Professor Yuan Honglin, dean of Graduate School, Professor Xiao Long, division chief of Division for International Cooperation and Exchanges, Professor Ye Weihua, dean of Overseas Education School, Professor Wu Zhaoyang, dean of the School of International Trade and Economics and forty-four trainees from twenty countries attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was presided by Huang Xianming, vice dean of School of International Trade and Economics.

On behalf of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, Wang Xiaoping extended a warm welcome and sincere greeting to the forty-four trainees. He pointed out that the ‘Foreign Aid Training Program’ held in Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics fully reflected the recognition of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics by the Ministry of Commerce and Jiangxi Provincial Department of Commerce.

The aforementioned degree program complies with the requirements of Ministry of Commerce and correlates firmly along the theme of international business.

Our school will make every possible effort to carefully equip with teachers, arrange the curriculum reasonably and ensure safeguard and service with a high sense of responsibility and mission, in order to successfully complete the training task assigned by Ministry of Commerce and become the firm executor of the national strategy. Our program aims at spreading the Chinese voice to the world, interpreting the Chinese path and promoting mutual understanding and trust through the organization of numerous professional teaching sessions, field visits and cultural exchange activities. At the same time, the trainees are required to adhere to the law and discipline and abide by the rules and regulations of our school.

On behalf of Ministry of Commerce, Ha Yu extended a warm welcome and the promising expectations befallen of the 44 trainees. He pointed out that, as the world's largest developing country, China has actively participated in international development cooperation and made great contributions to the common prosperity and progress of human society.

The Chinese government has established the ‘China International Development Cooperation Agency’ in order to strengthen foreign cooperation, and actively promotes the joint construction of the ‘Belt and Road’ initiative, whose objective is to safeguard world peace and promote common development.

The trainees are expected to cherish the opportunity to learn from professors, gain valuable experience though learning and living together with classmates, make more Chinese friends and benefit from field visits and group discussions.

Fang Xiangjun pointed out that Jiangxi Provincial Department of Commerce will vigorously implement the instructions of general secretary Xi Jinping and further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation and cultural exchanges with other countries in key areas under the guide of the “Belt and Road” Initiative, so as to make contributions to the world's economic and social development and jointly write a new chapter of Sino-Foreign friendship in this new era. The trainees should work hard to solidify their academic foundation, enhance the research capabilities and deepen the understanding of Chinese experience and Chinese model, so that they shall become ambassadors as well as an important driving force in the task of deepening the friendship and cooperation between China and other countries.

The representatives of the trainees, Ms. Khaty from Laos and Mr. Foster from Bahamas expressed their gratitude to the Chinese government for its assistance in their state economy and human resources training and to Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics for the meticulous organization of the Master of International Business Program. They hope to adapt themselves to JUFE’s culture as soon as possible, become a natural member of the university, adhere to its motto of “Integrity, Industriousness, Incorruptibility, and Perseverance” and make their own contribution to world peace and development.
