JUFE’s Overseas Students celebrate PRC’s 70th Anniversary

JUFE’s overseas students celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. In the past 70 years, the world has witnessed the amazing achievement of China. Inspired by the growing prosperity of China, overseas students here in JUFE also heartily joined in the celebrations with us by watching the military parade and taking part in activities such as celebrating the National Day and walking on campus , giving their best wishes to the 70th birthday of China.

At 9: 50 a.m. on October 1, over 20 foreign students from Bangladesh, Pakistan, Morocco, Ghana, Libya, Cambodia, Nigeria, Kazakhstan and other countries gathered in the study room in Foreign Students' Apartments to watch the live broadcast of celebrations for the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. They were deeply impressed by the splendid setting of Tiananmen Square, the military parade and also the performances. As the ceremony going on, they waved the Five-Starred Red Flags in their hands and cheered for the soldiers, they become very excited. After that, all of them delightfully moved on to the activity of celebrating the National Day and walking on campus. During the walk , they separated into groups and showed their lovely simile to those Chinese students and their parents whom passed by, they really become the most beautiful scenery line in the campus.

 



“I really regard China as my second hometown. I like China very much.” “I cherish my study and life in JUFE, in China. I am proud of being a JUFEer. I hope China will have a brighter future.” said by Mohammad Mahamudul Hasan from Bangladesh.

 

 “This is the first time I’ve watched the live broadcast of the military parade in China. I genuinely feel the confidence brought by the strength of a country to its people, and I hope that my motherland would be so prosperous and strong one day.” He also said, “I’m inspired to become a real civilian diplomat and an envoy of China-Pakistan friendship after I return home.” said by Aitzaz Ahsan, a Chinese government scholarship student from Pakistan.

LayKunthea from Cambodia also praised that the military parade showed the truly confidence of the Chinese , demonstrated the determination of the Chinese people to protect world in peace, and gave foreign students a more comprehensive understanding of China's history of development.

 


In recent years, the Overseas Education School has made great efforts to create an atmosphere of Learn at JUFE, Love in JUFE, and shared the great Chinese stories with overseas students in order to make them understand Chinese culture better . In the future, the Overseas Education School will focus on the quality rather than the “quantity” to build a high-quality platform for overseas students education, and  enhance JUFE’s international reputation.
