Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, located in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, China successfully held the 2020 Fall Semester Freshmen Meeting. In order to participate in all the students, this meeting was conducted by a combination of online and offline.
At 3 pm on October 21, 2020, the seminar was held in the conference room of the university's Library complex. The function was arranged by the School of Overseas Education School (OES) of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics.
2020 is a special year, and all parts of the world are being experienced by the new Coronavirus epidemic. But these did not stop the enthusiasm of the international students for studying. Teacher Hu Zujun, Pan Ying, Yuan Wei, Ye Zhangchi, and Wang Qi who participated at this conference online.
Before the meeting officially started, everyone watched a short introduction video of the Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics. After that, the teachers explained their responsibility to the freshmen studying in China and talked about rules and regulations that freshmen should pay attention to after entering the campus.
Teacher Hu Zujun explained to the international students the status of tuition payment this year and patiently explained some changes brought about by the epidemic. Teacher Pan Ying focused on the specific methods and steps of course learning and achievement determination. Teacher Yuan Wei, who is in charge of visa affairs, explained the necessary materials and steps required for student visas to the freshmen. Teacher Ye Zhangchi briefly explained the problems that international students may encounter in collective life and how to seek help.
In the next session, the School's student representatives made a speech. As veterans who have been living in Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics for one year, they have not hesitated to share their campus life experience, and also give full wishes to the freshmen.
Overseas Education School has a Chinese student volunteer team titled Suptune. At the meeting, the Suptune volunteer representative sent cordial and friendly greetings to the international students, extended a warm welcome to their arrival, and expressed that they would actively help them solve problems in the future.
In the last questioning session, the international students actively asked questions and were full of curiosity about the upcoming campus life. Teachers patiently answered questions for the freshmen and will work hard to help the students solve their difficulties.
