JUFE News Desk: With the theme of Caring for Children with Art, Lei Feng International Volunteer Team of Overseas Education School launch charity activities in Yingtan city at Longhu Mountain on May 1st.

17 volunteers from Lei Feng International Volunteer Team, 5 people from Yingtan City Psychological Association, 24 teachers and students from Yingtan Special Education School participated in the event. Yingtan TV Station recorded this event throughout.

After arriving at the Yingtan city, members of the Lei Feng International Volunteer Team led the children to visit the Art and Culture Museum. The Art and Culture Museum is an interactive and experiential museum. The collection is characterized by a collection of major inventions that have shaped China's five-thousand-year-old culture. Under the patient guidance of international student volunteers and instructors, the children embrace the wisdom of ancient saints, learn Chinese culture and experience interactive ancient music.

Afterward, international student volunteers and teachers led the children to the sand painting art classroom. Under the leadership of the sand painting teacher, they started a sand painting course learning journey. The children who experienced the sand painting course for the first time were pleasantly surprised. They opened up and painted what they wanted to express. The sand painting course allows children to express themselves better and communicate with the outside world through different forms of expression such as lighting.

After a short break, international student volunteers and teachers from the Psychological Association led the children to the art base to visit art galleries, environmental science and technology museums, and make environmentally friendly handicrafts. The attentive international student volunteers held the children's hand while watching the traffic when they were crossing the road. Their heart-warming actions were also praised by the teachers of the association.

The tight schedule of activities and the long journey made the international student volunteers a little tired, but the bus on the return trip still cheered. Volunteers from Lei Feng International said that although the activity was hard, it was very meaningful. The smiles on the faces of the children made them feel affirmed and inspired. They will continue to participate in various charity activities, give back to society, and continue to write new stories of Sino-foreign friendship.

After the event, the teachers from the two special schools also sent messages to thank the volunteers for their contributions, saying that the children and parents were very satisfied with the event and looked forward to more such events in the future.
