Regulations for Overseas Students Apartment (Trial)

The following rules are formulated to ensure a safe, clean, comfortable and good living environment in this building.

Settle-in

1. Foreign students who are enrolled and registered officially at JUFE can apply for a room in this apartment with valid passport and visa.

2. There are two types of room: en suite room with single bed and en suite room with double beds. The Office arranges rooms according to time of application. For the double bed rooms, the Office has the right to adjust students with consideration of nationality and living habits.

3. Female and male cannot apply to stay together.

4. Student who has families needs to apply through the Office separately.

5. Students should pay 200RMB as room deposit. The deposit can be refunded when students leave the dormitory (only if the room facilities, furniture, room card and electricity card are well kept).

6. Students are not allowed to change or occupy the room without permission from the Office. if students want to change the room with reasonable excuse needs submit a written application to the Office, and wait for the decisions.

Daily regulations

All students must follow all Chinese Laws and relevant university rules.

1. Visitors are required to register with valid IDcard, and should leave before 22: 00. All visitors must obey the Chinese Laws and relevant management regulations of JUFE.

2. Any renting, transferring, lending bed or exchange rooms are not allowed. Any other people are not allowed to stay in dormitoryovernight.

3. Smoking, drinking alcohol, and fighting are forbidden in dormitory or apartment. No religion assembles are allowed and please keep music volume low in the room.

4. Take care of public property. Do not break CCTV cameras, fire hydrants, and fire extinguishers. Any loss or damage to the public facilities shall be compensated according to purchasing price.

5. Keep rooms and its surroundings clean. Remember to clean the kitchen after cooking. Do not put personal sundries and hanging clothes in corridor, no throwing rubbish from the window and raising pet in the dormitory.

6. Students should buy electricity by themselves. No changing the electricity cables of dormitory.

7. The electric furnace, heater, electric cookerand other forbidden electrical equipment are not allowed in the room. The Office has the right to take dangerous devices away during the inspection. Students are suggested to switch off all electrical devices when you leave the room for a long time.

8. Any flammable, explosive and poisonous substance is not allowed in the apartment.

9. Please lock the door and window when leave your room, take good care of your personal belongings.

10. Please contact the Office if room card lost its functions.

11. If there is anything request to repair, please fill out a form and submit to the volunteer’s office which located on the ground floor, the Logistic Departmentis responsible for maintenance.

12. Please cooperate with the dorm staff when they need to enter the room.

13. It is prohibited for visitors to use the kitchen, laundry, and other facilities.

Checking out

1. Submit theapplication to the Overseas Students Office in advance when student needs to live off campus. Conduct the application process according to Regulations on Renting Off Campus for Overseas Students in Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics.

2. Inform the Office two days before check-out. All personal belongings needs to be removed and all payments needs to be cleared before check-out. Those who are no longer JUFE students should move out apartments within a prescribed period of time. The Office reserves the right to remove all items in the apartment.

Punishment

1. Any damage on public property, items and fire control facilities must be compensated. The room deposit will not be refunded to students who refuse to compensate

2. The university will give students the following punishments according to student’s severity of violation against the rules: Warning, Serious Warning and Visa Cancellation.

3. University will handle students who violated the Chinese Laws to judicial or police officer.

4. Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics reserves the right of final explanations.
