In celebration of the 114th International Women's Day, on the afternoon of March 8 , the School of Overseas Education held the ' Her'Energy ,' Her'Vision (She Power, She Perspective) theme event, 30 from 12 countries including Indonesia, Morocco , Madagascar, Kenya, etc. More than 100 female international students participated in the event, and Wan Yina, vice dean of the School of Overseas Education, and some international student management teachers attended the event.
The event was divided into two parts: handicraft talent show and theme discussion. In the handicraft talent session, the international students carefully designed and made woven bag patterns and the mascot Little Dragon for the Year of the Dragon . After an hour of hard work, a piece of different styles, exquisite and wonderful handicrafts are displayed in front of everyone, each work is gorgeous and colorful, full of ingenuity and ingenuity, and becomes a beautiful embellishment of the festival.
During the theme discussion session, everyone focused on "women's social status and contribution" and expressed their unique opinions on contemporary women's equal rights to education, equal employment, social contributions and other issues of concern.
Michelle, a doctoral student from Zimbabwe, president of the Association of International Students in China of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, first expressed her views, she believes that women's equal rights should not be limited to women's pursuit, but should also be the common pursuit of all mankind. Meng Fanlu, a master's student from Madagascar, combined her own experience with her own experience to express her cognition and experience of women's benefits in education and employment opportunities growth in both Chinese and English, and compared the gap between Malagasy women and Chinese women in terms of social rights and interests. Wang Yihan, a Kenyan student, talked about his ambition to devote himself to the cause of women's equality, and finally Wan Yina commented and summarized everyone's speeches.
In this activity, the international students had a good time, talked happily, and had a strong atmosphere, which is of positive significance for helping the international students better integrate into Chinese culture, understand the development of women's careers in the new era, and enhance the cohesion and happiness of our international students.
