On January 23, in order to enrich the winter vacation lives of international students and let them further experience the excellent traditional Chinese culture, OES organized some students to experience the traditional Chinese handicraft of paper-cuttingMore than 10 international students from Madagascar, Morocco, and other countries participated in the event.

At the beginning of the activity, Mr. Hu Zujun introduced the origin and development of Chinese paper-cutting art and the Chinese culture contained in paper-cutting art to the international students, so as to increase their understanding of Chinese paper-cutting. She then explained in detail the steps of the dragon and snowflake patterns.

The international students were eager to try; they picked up scissors and paper-cutting materials, and the paper-cuts had a vivid image in the click sound.


For the international students, this paper-cutting activity not only brought them a joyful experience but also further enhanced their understanding of traditional Chinese handicraft culture. Gu Xiang, an international student from Madagascar, said: There are many kinds of paper-cut works, and the content is also very rich, and I want to give my paper-cut for the Year of the Dragon as a gift to my family. Wang Lu, a Moroccan student, said: Today's paper-cutting activity is very interesting, and I hope that the beautiful paper-cutting in the Year of the Dragon can bring me luck in the Year of the Dragon.
