On September 7th, the OES welcomed the 2024 class of international students. Liu Yaobin, Party Secretary of the university, along with President Deng Hui, Vice Presidents Que Shandong, and Yuan Honglin, led a team to the welcome site to greet the staff and meet the new international students.
Liu Yaobin warmly greeted the international students, welcoming them for coming such a long way to study at Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE). He inquired about their study and living conditions and encouraged them to seize the learning opportunity and contribute to the friendship and cooperation between China and other countries.
At the welcome point of Overseas Education School(OES), Deng Hui expressed his gratitude to the staff working on the welcoming team. He reviewed materials such as the Handbook for International Students and New Student Enrollment Guidelines, and learned about the deployment of the related orientation work. Deng thanked the teachers and student volunteers from both China and abroad who were working on the front lines.
OES placed great importance on this year's orientation. The school leadership had earlier inspected the preparation of dormitories in International Students' Home buildings A and B. Consultation desks and one-stop service points were set up at Jueqi Square and in the dormitory buildings, and over 30 volunteers from China and other countries were recruited and trained to assist with airport pickups and orientation services. Under this well-organized arrangement, the new students smoothly completed the verification of enrollment materials, temporary registration, system registration, room assignments, and other formalities. The volunteers also led them on a tour of the campus.
OES will continue to follow its orientation schedule, conducting comprehensive entry education for international students. This includes introducing Chinese laws and regulations, religious policies, and school rules and discipline. In addition, safety education on fire prevention, fraud prevention, water safety, and drug prohibition will be provided to help students quickly adapt to the new environment and start their study journey at JUFE.
As of September 9th, over 130 new students had completed registration, with more degree students arriving in the coming days. On October 10th-11th, non-degree Chinese language students of the 2024 cohort will register for enrollment.
