On January 20, a festive and joyful atmosphere filled the plaza on the west side of the international student dormitory in the North Campus of Jiaoqiao Garden. The Golden Snake Dances Wildly to Welcome the New Year 2025 Chinese New Year Garden Party for international students was successfully held there. Vice President Fang Yuming attended the event and delivered a speech. Representatives from the Entry-Exit Administration of the Nanchang Public Security Bureau and the Economic Development Zone Branch, leaders from the Overseas Education School, representatives from the Security Office, international student advisors, and more than 400 international students gathered to celebrate the Spring Festival together.

At the beginning of the event, Fang Yuming extended his sincere holiday greetings and New Year wishes to all international students on behalf of the university. He encouraged them to maintain an open and inclusive mindset in the new year, actively engage in learning diverse cultures, participate in international academic conferences and competitions, broaden their academic horizons, and enhance their cross-cultural communication skills, thereby contributing to the building of a shared future for humanity.

Following this, the attending leaders and guests drew lucky prizes for the students and distributed Spring Festival gift packages to each participant, wishing them good fortune, happiness, and well-being in the new year.

The garden party featured a variety of cultural activities and fun games, attracting enthusiastic participation from many international students. From traditional paper-cutting to writing the Chinese character (meaning fortune), from pitch-pot games to shuttlecock kicking, each activity showcased China's rich history and vibrant culture. Students participated wholeheartedly, filling the venue with laughter and joy, fully immersing themselves in the festive Chinese New Year atmosphere. This event not only allowed international students to experience the university’s holiday warmth in a cheerful setting but also served as an engaging and profound journey into Chinese culture.

The Overseas Education School has long been committed to fostering international students’ understanding, friendship, and appreciation of China while deepening their connection with the university. The New Year Garden Party has strengthened their recognition and love for Chinese culture, helping them better integrate into Chinese society and become ambassadors of friendship and cultural exchange between China and the world.
