Exchange program has been designed for outstanding students from our overseas partner institutions to study at Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics.

 

Program objectives

This program offers a myriad of study-in-China options for students with business and Chinese culture background studies; we are aiming to promote the social and cultural interaction between China and the world.

Academic Information

Academic   calendar

1.  Fall semester: Early September to Early January16 weeks)

2.  Spring semester: Late February/Early March to Early July (16 weeks)

Full-time   workload

1. An exchange student  normally takes 3 - 6 courses per semester   and each course is  2 - 3 credits.

2.1 JUFE credit is given to a course taught for 1   teaching hour per week.

3. The credit system in China may be different from   the credit system in your country.

4. 1 JUFE credit is roughly equivalent to 1.5 ECTS.

5.  Normally an undergraduate student at JUFE is   required to take 20-25 credits per semester.

▲Minimum workload allowed per semeter is 3  courses (about 6 credits).

▲ Maximum workload allowed per semester is 25   credits.

Information   on courses open to exchange students

1.Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics offers a variety of courses taught in English for exchange students.

2. At JUFE, exchange students are enrolled in the Overseas Education School (OES). The OES offers 3 Chinese culture courses, 9   academic courses and some Chinese language courses .

3. The exchange students are also allowed to study academic courses offered in other schools that are taught in English. Academic courses from other schools are both on undergraduate and postgraduate degree level.

Grading system

The grading system of JUFE uses a 100%, 60% or more is considered a pass.

The final examination is 60%, and other assessments 40% which includes attendance, class performance, presentations and mid-semester exam.

Academic transcript

1. After the examination results are released, a transcript and certificate of completion will be issued.

2. The students can get the transcripts from the office in person or it can be mailed to their home universities if desired.

3.If a student fails one or more course(s), he/shewill receive only a transcript but not the certificate of completion.

Application Procedure

Nomination deadlines:

Partner universities must submit all the qualified students information to JUFE by sending an email to the Exchange program coordinator before the deadline.

Fall semester: May 1

Spring semester: November 1

Application   deadline

 The nominated students should submit an online application within the specified   time period.

 Fall  semester: April 1 to May 1

 Spring  semester: October 1 to November 1

Eligibility

Exchange students must be full-time students of JUFE's exchange partner universities and must have completed at least one semester of study at their home university.

 

  Services

Pickup &   Drop off

service

 JUFE’s  volunteer team will offer a free airport pick up service for exchange   students at the beginning of the semester and a free drop off service at the   end of the semester.

Orientation

 The orientation will be held at the first week of a semester.It includes a   general orientation meeting,campus tour,welcome party,course registration   meeting,Chinese proficiency test,etc.

Student support

 JUFE’s volunteer team is ready to support and assist you.

 The  team consists of about 70 JUFE students,who will be on duty in the Student  Support Office on the 1st floor of the International Students Apartment.

 

Popular Activities

Language partner

Find a language  partner from the JUFE volunteer team and participate in activities together while  helping each other learn a language.

Pair-sharing

International students may familiarize, visit & connect with JUFE teachers’ families, experience   the local domestic life, go on trips, make Chinese food, etc.

Chinese corner/

Culture salon

Practice your  Chinese language skills, get to know more about Chinese culture as well as   those of different countries with other international students and Chinese  students.

International

culture festival

The biggest event for all international students, showcase your talents to fellow students and teachers, present the local cuisine of your country, costumes and culture in   your own exhibition booth with your    fellow country mates.

Chinese & talent

competition

Participate in Chinese and talent competition with international students from around 20  universities.

Free trip

JUFE organizes one free trip to neighboring cities for new students once every semester.

Making Chinese ceramic wares, Chinese tea culture, Chinese Kung-Fu, etc.

   Fees

Accomodation & Facilities

A single room in the International Students Apartment is 3000 RMB per Semester.

Room facilities: WC, a Shower, an air conditioner, a bed, a table, a chair, a dresser, a wardrobe   and a TV.

6 Public kitchens  (one muslim kitchen included) and public laundries are provided in the   apartment.

Medical check

The  Medical health check fee is 460 RMB.

Insurance (Mandatory)

400 RMB/ half  year, 800 RMB/ one year, or you can buy the International insurance in your   home country.

Text books

About 350 RMB per  semester for language program textbooks.

Room deposit

200 RMB  (refundable after checkout at the end of the semester).

Electricity

About 100-150   RMB/Month (0.62Yuan per kilowatt hour
