How to apply as a new student?

A new student should apply for the Residence Permit within 30 days from the date of entry at the Exit/ Entry Administration of Nanchang Public Security Bureau.

How to renew my Residence Permit?

Students must know their visa expiry date by heart and inform the OFFICE at least 15 days ahead. Students should be responsible for visa rejection caused by a late visa application.

Overstaying in China & Penalty

Overstaying means that one remains in China after his/her visa or residence permit has expired. Usually, the penalty is CNY500 per day not to exceed CNY10, 000 for a short period of time. If one overstays the visa for a significant period, he/she will be repatriated and named on the black list which will affect his/her re-entry to China.
